This blog aims to foster linguistic research and its applications to business (especially clinical and computational) as well as Digital Humanities and digital information management (linked data, semantic web). The main objective of Hypotheses is to highlight the importance of sound linguistic training on the development of competitive research projects which have a prominent social impact.


FunGramKB Suite

FunGramKB Suite is a user-friendly environment for the semiautomatic construction of FunGramKB, a multipurpose lexico-conceptual knowledge base for natural language processing (NLP) systems.



LEXICOM is a joint research project carried out with the collaboration of scholars interested in the cognitive, social, psychological, pragmatic, and discourse dimensions of language. Special emphasis is given to testing linguistic accounts in terms of their typological adequacy, their potential to be implemented computationally and their applicability to lexicography and language pedagogy.



LINHD (Laboratorio de Innovación en Humanidades Digateles) is a Digital Humanities Center based in Spain, and in Spanish, that aims at bridging the gap between Humanities and Technology in a collaborative and multidisciplinary way, by applying linked data and semantic web technologies as the philosophy, approach and new foundation for the disciplines within the cultural field.



The Spanish Society for Applied Linguistics (AESLA) is a well-established academic society in Spain because, since from its founding in 1982 it has emerged as the coordinating body of the concerns in the field of applied linguistics in Spain. As stated on the AESLA Statutes, “[t]he specific objective of the Association is to promote, stimulate and improve the study and research of applied linguistics in all its manifestations in Spain".
