Alba Luzondo Oyón
Alba Luzondo-Oyón holds a postdoctoral fellowship from the National Distance Education University (UNED, Madrid) and she is currently part of the national research project FFI2011-29798-C02-01 (2012-2014) led by Prof. Mairal-Usón. She received her PhD from the University of La Rioja in 2011. She holds two MAs (2006, 2009) and a BA (2001) in English Language and Literature from the University of La Rioja. She was given the Extraordinary Doctorate Award in 2012 (University of La Rioja)
At the UNED, she teaches English for Specific Purposes and Linguistic Theory in different bachelor degrees, as well as Applied Linguistics in a master degree.
Her research interests cover Cognitive Linguistics, Construction Grammar and Natural Language Processing. She has participated in various national research projects (HUM 2007-65755/FILO and FFI2010-17610), both led by Prof. Ruiz de Mendoza (University of La Rioja). Additionally, she collaborates in the international projects Metbib (John Benjamins) and WSK (Mouton de Gruyter). She has written several research articles in national and international journals such as Review of Cognitive Linguistics (John Benjamins), Onomazéin, RESLA (John Benjamins), Studies in Language Companion Series (John Benjamins), Cambridge Publishing Scholars, among others. Since January 2013, she is Assistant Editor in the Review of Cognitive Linguistics (John Benjamins) and she is now a member of the Editorial Board. Likewise, she is research manager of the Spanish Lexicon in FunGramKB (Functional Grammar Knowledge-Base at www.fungramkb.com).
